The What Rider

I watched the movie the Ghost Rider a few weeks ago. I know it is not the greatest movie ever made, but I was trying to fall asleep. The movie did the job and I was a sleep within ten minutes. As I was watching the movie I noticed some major flaws in the whole thing.

First off you have the name Ghost Rider; they should change it to the Skeleton Rider. That would be more scary to me for a skeleton can actually do harm to me. All a ghost can do is scare me by jumping out at me. If he was a ghost, he wouldn't be able to stab me or push me off a cliff or something like the sorts. Therefore we know he isn't a ghost, he is a skeleton, he can't walk through walls without destroying it.

Number two, the ghost rider has no muscle at all. How in the world does he move? Now I know that you don't have to have muscles to move if you have other things to movie you, but the Ghost Rider doesn't have any thing but bones. It would be more realistic if he had like gears and mechanical stuff like that, but no he can move with nothing but bone. I wonder if NASA has figured out how he does this; because I have yet to come up with a solution to the problem. Everybody that I know say that you have to have something doing work in order for you to move all things.

The next thing is he is on fire. There are a lot of problem here. One wouldn't the bones turn to ash, and what about that leather jacket of his. This would really stink, the smell of burn flesh. It is cow flesh but what difference would that make. My other question to flame thing is how does it not go out when he isn't in the sun but as soon as he steps into that sun it is out. Does he have like some electric starter on him that is controlled by some light sensor? This brings up another thing that is totally wrong with the Skeleton Rider story.

I don't know how he does it, but the Skeleton Rider can grow back his skin and all of his other flesh when he goes back to the human stage. That is my question you can't do that; it is against the laws of nature for humans to grow back all of their organs. There are a few that can like skin and a few other, but not if the person doesn't have them in the first place. I have never seen skin heal after being burnt off like that either; especially if the skin was exposed to that much heat. The Doc. could possible do a skin graph but how would it work if there is no blood supply to it. I have learned that in order for most injuries to heal you have to get oxygen to the area or nothing well happen. This includes the broken bones that he should get by the force of the throws, punches, kick, and all other things that hit him.

The next thing is a little bit more realistic but not much. His motorcycle can change just as quickly as he can from the human stage to the "Ghost Rider" stage. I know that you can change the appearance of a bike, but not that quickly. It seems to me that it changes in like five seconds. Not even the Orange County Chopper can do that, and they are some of the best people at building bikes. They can probably do it in like a day or two but never in five sec. The Skeleton Rider's bike also seems to have the ability to drive itself. This is impossible with out some sort of intelligence either artificial; like blonde's who have dyed their hair brown, sorry for those that are blond but I just had to throw that in, or some computer controlling it. We know that it doesn't have any artificial intelligence by the way that acts and how it drivers without the Rider doing the driving. It clipped a truck that was just parked there, and if it did the bike wouldn't have let the license plate fall off at the scene of the crime. Another reason why it has no brains is that after a being driven by that maniac it wouldn't let him drive any more.

Then you have is the Skeleton Rider's so called "powers." First one is that stupid stare of his that burns your soul. They have to look in his eyes when he does this, and wouldn't it happen whenever somebody look into his eye. Why don't people just not look when he tells you to do this. If he has the power to control where your face is facing why not just close your eyes. Now the flames. What does the flame do? Is it there just for show? Why doesn't it burn the skin when somebody touches it. Every time I have touched a frame for a longer period of time than just sweeping me hand through it I got burned. The next power that I have is his ability to drive straight up. This is impossible for your would need a whole lot of friction, and I don't know any tires that can do that. When he does this as well, in the movie the building that he drives up is glass and the glass brakes and melt when the bike drives over this. Now I can believe that the glass brakes but melts, the bike isn't on flames.

Countries in my Mission: Bosnia; Part 4

Bosnia.

A brief history of Bosnia is first. Bosnia has been ruled by many people in the time Columbus set off on his adventure Bosnia was being ruled by Ottoman. This reign last from 1463-1878, what I would call a very long time to have the same family rule one country. I know that there have been others that have had longer ones but I don't care. Then in 1878 the Austro-Hungarians took over and started to rule instead of the old king. This lasted until 1918. Those Hungarians don't know how to keep a country under their rule. After WWI the first Yugoslavian Kingdom was created, and last right up to 1941 when Hitler or the Nazis took over. After WWII the Socialistic Yugoslavia was created, but not until after a lot of blood shed that was caused by two rebel groups, one for a communistic government and the other for a republic system. I bet you can tell who won. Bosnia was part of this government until 1992 when they broke off and started the Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the 1990's after they broke off the Bosnian War was started. This was started because the Bosnian people had no say in government it was Serbians and Croatian. So they reformed the government. This war was one that could have been prevented if the people just know how to reform the none lethal way. Now Bosnia has a Federal Democratic Republic.

O.K. enough with the history stuff. Bosnia's cultures has a lot of music, sports, and even movies. Movies are one of Bosnia's biggest like. One of the movies that was made in Bosnia was the 2001 No Man's Land. Sports Bosnia has a lot of different sports that they like. There is boxing, soccer, handball, karate, and even Chess. They have these chess boards that are life sized and they have tournament with them. It would be really cool to play with one of those chess sets. Bosnia held the 1984 14th winter Olympics. Even though they were still under the rule of Yugoslavia, it is like how we in Utah held the 2002 winter Olympics.

Tourism is also really big. It is based on some of their historical sites. The capital city or Sarajevo was named as one of the top 100 cities to visit in the world. There are a lot of other cool places to visit as well.
The food sounds really good with the stuff that they have in it, but looks really discusting. I guess that if I want to find out how it really is I well have to try it. Most of it is like the rest of my country sense they all have had the same background pretty much.
Here are some pics of the place.

Countries in my Mission: Montenegro; Part 3.

Montenegro.

There isn't much to tell about Montenegro. They split off from Serbia in 2006, like I said in my last blog. Right now the biggest income for the country is tourism. It was declared as the fastest growing tourism attraction in 2004.

The government in a Parliamentary Republic. For those that don't know what a Parliamentary Republic is, it is basically what England has. You have a parliament and then a prime minister.

Sports, the biggest sports are waterpolo and soccer. Since their soccer teams are now Serbian teams, they don't have any soccer teams. They are trying to create new one but so far not much luck. So there you have it.

It looks like it is really beautiful over there. Just look for yourself.

Countries in my mission: Serbia. Part 2

Serbia.

Serbia has been part of many countries. It just got out of the Montenegro and Serbia Union in 2006. That country was started in 2003 and before that it was known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The government at the time is a parliamentary republic.

Weather. The weather is not much different than here in Utah. Serbia is just more humid than Utah. During the summer it is hot and during the winter it doesn't get as cold as here in Utah.

Sports. Serbia has a few big sports there. The main sports or the biggest are soccer, basketball, tennis, and water polo. In soccer they have two teams besides the national Serbian teams the Red Star Belgrade and the FK Partizan. The Red Star Belgrade team is a formal Yugoslavia team. It also won the 1991 Euro Cup and the Intercontential Cup in Tokyo in the same year. Both have their headquarter in Belgrade. In water polo they got the bronze medal in the 2008 summer Olympics and has 6 titles of Euro Champs. In basketball they won the 1991 Euro basketball championship but could not defend it the next year for the UN did not let them participate. In tennis they have two very big tennis players, Jelena Jankovic and Novak Djokovic.

Tourism. Serbia has five national parks. The big cities are also very big tourism places and Serbia has a lot of mountain areas that are very popular like the volcanic wonder Davolja Varos. There are many ancient buildings and they have great festivals. There are also really cool castles in Serbia.

Countries in my Mission: Croatia. Part 1

Ok for everyone to know when I opened my call I have trying to find out things about the countries inside my mission. Now I have decided to tell you somethings about the countries. There are going to be six blogs about them, one country at a time. Hopefully I can do one at least one a week, we will see. I will start with the country Croatia.

Croatia.

Government. Croatia was once part of Yugoslavia which was split into six countries, All of which are in my mission. It became an independent country in 1990. It may seem that it is a new country, but your wrong there probably isn't much more growth for it at all. It is a Democratic Republic and from the 1990 to 2000 it used a presidential government, but now it is a parlimential government.

Transportation. Croatia's best way of travel is driving for they have contructed new highways and freeways. They also use the rail system like most of Europe but it is not as good as most of the rail system in the other countries. It also has Three majer airports.

Food. In the coastal area the food is more of Greek, Italian, and Illyrian food. The inland area has more food that comes for the Turks, Hungarian, and Viennese. Plates that they have is goulash, squid, sea spider salad, duck, pheasant, odojak (Roast Pork), veal steaks, cod with potatoes. Their desserts and sweets sound very good. They do things like strudels and Orahnjača (sweet bread with walnuts.)

Sports. Croatia's main sports are football (soccer), tennis, waterpolo, and hand ball. The Croatian soccer team came in third place at the 1998 World Cup and one of the players got the golden boot for scoring the most goals in the season. There are two big soccer teams besides the national soccer team, the NK Dinamo Zagreb and HNK Hajduk Split. They were the 2003 world champs in handball. They have the best handball player in the world, Ivano Balic. In waterpolo the Mladost team is the seven time champs of Europe and the Croatian waterpolo team is considered the best in the world.

Nature. Croatia has one really well known national park, the Plitvice Park. It has many beautiful waterfalls. Just look for yourself.

Mission Paper, The wait so far

Oh man, waiting for those mission papers slash call is killing me. It is like waiting for Christmas and you know that you are getting something really cool. What makes it worse is that I might have to wait a few days before I find out where I am going. This is because I might have to work the day it comes. I don't find out until I go to work today. I think that I will open it if I do have to work before I announce it to everyone if I do have to work. So that is just for those that were wondering about what I would do if I had to work. My next blog well be the announcement of were I will be going. So this one is so short. Not much to up date.

Update like ONE MILLIONITH

I know that it has been a will since I last put up a blog. So here is what has happened. I got my new job and now I don't see my family very much for when I am at home they are either asleep or are gone. When they are home I am either a sleep or working at Jubilee. It is an okay job and I can't wait to go on my mission.

Last week my family and I went to Island Park to go fishing. There wasn't very much fishing going on for some reason. My dad almost had to use some self-defense on this guy was mad at him for some reason while we were fishing the Henry's fork of the Snake River. We got to get a lot of huckleberry ice-cream, that was really good. We also rode four-wheelers around for a day. That was really fun when we were driving them back from West Yellowstone. I think that we made a new record on the time that we did it in. One hour, was the time that it took for us to get back to the cabin.

An update on my mission papers. Last night I scheduled an appointment with me Stake Pres. So I have that on Sunday and then I will have to wait for my papers to be prosist and get my call. I also have scheduled when I am going to become an Elder but I don't have a time yet, just a day. So that recieve a call from me will now.

Oh yes, can't forget to put on here what happened to me at Alpine Slide. Most of you readers know what happened but for those that don't I will tell. I was going down the slide as fast as I can. First mistake that I did. When all of a sudden the sled came out from under my and made me the sled for about ten feet. Talk about road rash. When I stopped I got back on the sled to finish the ride. The second big mistake that I committed. It wasn't 10 sec. latter that it did the same thing. I think that there was something wrong with the sled. Just to make it more clear with what happened is that I did not go off the slide the sled flipped and I became the sled. I have pics. but I won't post those.

That is all I have for you today. I will be right back after I get more news.

Honduras Part 4

I find my self on day eight, of this amazing trip, already. Well, like I said before that we were leaving Roatan a little early, and were headed back to El Progresso. It was really fun on Roatan, but I was already getting the big rock syndrome. I didn't want to be on that little island for very much longer. So Jared and I went to the airport to get a ticket to cross the water instead of taking that stupid boat again. Hopefully, I thought, that the airport won't close. Well it didn't close so that made me really happy. during the 15 min. flight Jared said that they were going to drop him off and take me back so I would have to take the boat. He said that they won't let me back until I had thrown up three more times. Well, of course they didn't take me back to Roatan. We got to the main land and caught a bus to El Progresso. That was a really long bus ride. Jared was hoping that somebody would be home at the doctors house so we didn't have to care our luggage around with us. When we got there, luckily, somebody was there to let us in. For the rest of the day I pretty much slept and then went and called home. Jared has pictures of this day. One of me and my burnt arms and pictures of the ocean from the plane. I forgot to get them from him. So Jenny Ann would you please send those to me, or you could just have Jared do that.

Day nine, the second to last day in Honduras. On this day we went shopping for gifts for everybody. We got most of the jerseys on this day. This day was also the day that we had the big BBQ. It was really fun, and the meat was really good. The only problem was that they gave me so much. My plate was full of meat and it was piled up so I had like three steaks on the plate. It was really good and the sauce that they had for the meat was amazing. One was really hot where as the other was mild, and both were really good. The thing is that Jared forgot to tell me that I had to have a dress shirt for the BBQ before I went down there so I had to use one of Jared's shirt. It is a really nice shirt unless he has done something to it.

Finally day ten, my last day. Today was a very long day. I had to get up, get all me things ready to go to the airplort, and then I had to go to the airport. That was just until I got to the airport. When I got to the airport there were no Delta people at the place that I pick up my tickets from. So Jared and I waited around for a little while and they finally came. So Jared and I went through security and waited for our planes. It was a long wait for I had an hour wait longer than Jared. After that I had a four hour flight to Atlanta, then went through customs there, and finally a four hour flight back to Salt Lake City. It was a long day. So there is my trip. I have told you everything I wanted to tell you. Have a fun day.

MY NEW JOB

Well now it is time to tell every one about my new job. I got a new job last Friday and I started yesterday. You would ask who would hire someone like me. A person that is crazy beyond compare. The answer to that is Jubilee or other words Jim Davies Foods. It is a small store that is by the Valley Fair Mall and Party City. It is fun when I am busy but when it is slow it is very boring. I am the checker. All I do is work at the registers. So there it is, my parents are happy and I got them off my back. I just wish that I would see more people that I know. Like that is ever going to happen. No body I know goes to Jubilee to shop for food. They all either go to Harmons, Smith's, or Abertsons. So if I am not at home or with friends I am at that job working.

Honduras part 3

Here is part three of this amazing trip. For those that haven’t stayed with use here is what happened. Day 1, long flight to Honduras; day 2, hiked through the jungle while friends at home went to prom; day 3, went to church and Copan; day 4, saw the ruins and Copan. Now that everybody is caught up here it goes. We are now on day five out of the ten. Half way there to the end, so sad isn’t it?

The next day, day five for those that haven’t read the ones before, we got on another bus that went to an airport that was really small. When we got there it was great weather. It wasn’t raining at all. So Jared and I bought tickets for an island called Roatan. It is a really big scuba diving place. Well we sat there and waited and waited. Ten minutes after we got there, they shutdown the airport and no planes can take off or land. We decided to wait a little long, three o’clock, and it was ten o’clock when we decided this. So you can imagine the waiting that we did. At three we went to the docks to get a ticket for the fairy. Luckily we got our money back from the airport. Once we got to the fairy we did some more waiting. The nickname of the fairy is the vomit comet. For everyone that took this fairy gets sick, and throws up. It was a two and a half hour boat ride which was bad for it was really stormy out on the ocean. There were waves that were so big that the boat would hit them at the front and the waves would still reach the back of the boat, where we were. I have to admit, this was the first time I have had the dry heaves. They are not something that I want every again. Those that have had them know why. Once when we got to the island, the weather had calmed down. We got off the boat and tried to find a taxi that would take us to the west side. Here is where we meat David, a really cool guy.

When we got to West End, the little area on the west side, we started to look for a place to stay for a few days. The only problem was that it was like ten o’clock when we finally got to West End; so most of the hotels and other places were closed for the night. Luckily Jared remembered the “Pink Giant,” that is what we called it for it was huge and pink with green rooms. My dad would have said that it was the perfect Mexican hotel. That is just how my dad is just so you know. After we found a place to stay we went hunting for food. We food a hamburger place that was on a dock, this place was not a very good place to eat. Since it was on a dock, and waves on the west side were still bad; it just made us sick again. This is the part that I think is funny, for Jared still makes fun of me throwing up, he through up at the restaurant. He says that it wasn’t because that he was sea sick, but something else. I disagree with him on that totally.

The next day, the 6th day, Jared and I went into town to find a place so I can go through some scuba class and get certified. We found one called the Coconut Tree. The owners name was really weird to, his name was Tree. I think that he had it changed when he became a tree huger. Were I started my classes that day. All I did for this day was watch videos on scuba diving. It was long and very boring. The videos were really stupid and they kept telling jokes that made no since what so ever. While I was doing this Jared was taking a warm-up course and then he did a dive. I think that this was one of the longest days that I have ever had down there. At least I got done with all the book work in that one day. The videos went along with it so it was pretty easy.

Day seven was a lot better for me not so much for Jared. I got to go diving and get most of my certification done. It wasn’t that good for Jared for he was getting really sick. His ear was also hurting him really badly from diving. On my first dive my instructor and I walked out to the bay and just swam to where we were going to dive. It wasn’t really that hard to get out there. I think that the hardest part for me was getting used to breathing under water and empting my mask of water under water. Something that doesn’t make since now does it. Those that have gone scuba diving know that it is possible to do this. Those that haven’t gone, here is how you do that. First, you grab your mask and lift the bottom up a little and blow through your nose as hard as possible. Then you let go of the mask right when you stop. If you don’t do this; your mask will fill right back up, and you don’t want to lift up the bottom to much or it won’t work. After this I went back to the shore and meet up with my brother. We had lunch and then went back to go for another dive. This one Jared went with me. This was a really cool dive for I got to see a lot of sea life. Not as much as Jared for he went deep then I did, but I don’t care. I got to swim with a sea turtle and a lot of different kinds of fish. It was really cool to do that. When this dive was done and when I reached the surface I got really sick. Once when I got the mouth piece out of my mouth, I through upped into the ocean. The cool thing is that the vomit was a florescent green. We got back to the shore and I was supposed to go for another dive, but I was really sick so I didn’t go. On the way back to our hotel we decided that we were going to head back for El Progresso. So I went and got my scuba paper work and went back to the hotel.

Stay tuned for part four.

3 JOYS

1-Biking. It is just awesome to be able to go down a mountain on a vehicle that has no protection for you, and it is just fun to be on a bike. It beats hiking any day.

2-My second is a little harder to think of. I guess that it is a tie between shooting and being with friends and family

3-Fishing is my third favorite joy. I don't know what it is about fishing but it just clears the mind of all troubles.

3 FEARS

1-Dissapporting others. Only big dissapportments are the ones that I am afraid of.

2-Drowning. I like swimming and Scuba diving is fun, but for some reason I would
hate to drown.

3-Not being able to go on my mission. Having a physical condition that would stop me from going would just suck. That would be the only reason why I don't go.

3 CURRENT OBSESSIONS/COLLECTIONS

1-Checking my email. Not a good one.

2-Model airplanes. I just love airplanes and if I ever get enough money I am going to get my pilots licence.

3-Currency. I like to get money different bills in defferent currencies. So far I have Canadian, American, and Hondurian.

3 SURPRISING FACTS

1-I like working with wood. It has just been something that nobody but my family really knows. I am getting pretty good at it.

2-I am older than I look. Most of my friends thought that I had like a year after I graduated before I lift on my mission. Nope that was a false thought. Only have a few months before I could have put my mission papers in.

3-I took martial arts and I my next belt is black belt. I stopped for I my teacher lift town and I just haven't looked for a new one.

TAG 5 PEOPLE

1-Jared

2-Chris Thatcher

3-one more of those that I know that haven't done it

7/02/2008

Where here is the second part of my trip down to Honduras. I believe I left off when I had just got to Copan. Copan was a very cool city. It was like all of those really nice cities that are in the movies that are in Latin America. Copan is also surrounded by jungle; everywhere you look there is jungle. It was an awesome scene when we went to dinner the first night. I am sorry that we had to spend money on Sunday, but sometimes you just need to do just that. Jared didn’t want me to go a day without eating anything. For dinner that night we went to an American restaurant. It had two levels, and we were on the second level. It was one of the coolest things for it was quiet and it was so beautiful to see.

As you can see here is a picture of Jared and I at the restaurant. You can’t see the surroundings very well, but oh well.

The next day Jared and I went to the ruins. They were amazing to see. It was really cool to see as well with someone that believes in the same thing as you. Jared and I were talking about the Nephites and the Lamanites. We were wondering if it was a Lamanite city or a Nephite city. It was really cool for there was a huge wall that had once surrounded the entire city. This wall was very tall so we thought that it was a Nephite city, but the Lamanites could have always just have stolen the idea from the Nephites. There was also a tower that was set in the middle of a field. Now this tower was really cool. Jared had told me that if you stand on the pyramid, for that is what it actually was, you could talk normally, and someone can hear it in the humongous field. So when we got there that is one of the first things that we tried. Jared went to the top of the pyramid and spoke normally I was about fifty yards away from the pyramid. The next step to trying to figure it out was for me to go on top of the pyramid while Jared went about three football fields away. Alright it wasn’t three, but I bet that it was about two which is still very far away. That field was that big in all directions too. So when Jared got there he had to yell to me to speak. So when I did, and all I did was just raise my voice just a little. It was belly over a normal voice and Jared could still hear what I was saying.

The top was a picture of me on top of the pyramid and the bottom one is a pictures of macaws on top of the pyramid. Before Jared went out to the far end of the field he and I started to throw banana chips on the pyramid to see if we could get the macaws to come over to us. Well, as you can see they did. The picture of macaws was taken when they were only five to six feet away from us. After the whole pyramid thing we went to the see the rest of the ruins. They were just as cool. There was this one place where it looks like a stadium, and I guess that they have figured out what went on there. In the field that was in the middle of the stadium they said that the natives would play a game that was sort of like soccer and basketball there. It was told that the losers would die as well. That is one game that I would play my hardest at. By the field there is this huge staircase. They have this huge tent thing over it so it won’t get ruined by the weather. It was cool to see because on the staircase there was all this carving in it. I would hate to have to carve out all of those symbols for the stairs. Okay lets us move on with the rest of the ruins. After looking around for a while Jared and I went to the top of this huge pyramid, I mean this thing was the gigantor of the all of the pyramids there. We could see all of the ruins from the top of this pyramid. When we got to the top we sat down and eat some chips. Banana chips are really good, but after a while you get sick of them. Banana chips are also a good way to plug you up; for bananas are natural constipaters. After looking at all of the ruins, we went back to the city of Copan and get a bus back to El Progresso. That was another very long trip but it was really fun. I slept most of the way were as Jared didn’t. When we got back to El Progresso we went back to the doctor’s house. We had dinner at the mall that was in El Progresso. It was really good, but for some reason the whole time that I was down there I didn’t eat very much. It was really good food though.

I have now decided that this may be more than three parts it may be like five or six. I am trying to get two days in but this time I only got one.

Honduras part 1

Well, I have decided to do a blog on Honduras. It will be a trilogy. So it won't be all of it in one blog. I will begin with day one. The longest day of travelling I have ever had. It started off the day before I actually started the flight. I had to go to the airport at 11:30 the night before I left for my flight didn't leave until 12:10 the next day. I will advise everybody that the only reason to take this flight is if you really had to or you can sleep with any noise and through anything. Other words you are going to go insane. It wasn't a very long trip for that to happen to me. My other advise is that if you can don't have a long layover if you have a stop between destinations. For the layover that I had was a 4 hour layover. I now know the entire lay out of the Atlanta Airport. I walked that entire airport for three and a half hours. Well, I finally got to San Pedro Sula after a long flight. When I was walking out of the airplane I felt the humidity and the heat it me. It was like a ton of bricks had just it me. It wasn't more that two minutes before I started to sweat like a pig. They most sweat a lot for I was sweating a lot. The doctor that we were staying with was laughing at how red I was from the heat. That day though I pretty much stayed at the doctors house. We left once to go call my parents to tell them that I got down there OK. The doctor was very nice to me. I think that they are some of the few people that I will miss. They treated me very will even though I didn't know the language. They understood a lot of English though.
The second day was really cool as well. My brother Jared and I went up to the mountains to see the Doctor's house that he is building up there and some of the people that live up there. I will say this, you will never know how it is unless you see it for yourself. Even I didn't understand how bad it was until I got down there. The school that is up there is not the worst school you can have, but it is pretty bad. They only teach about five subjects: auto mechanics, computers, carpentry, cooking, and making pinatas. You only learn some of these trades. Only the smartest gets a schalorship to go to high school in the city.

After we saw the school we went up to the Doctor's house and looked at it. The view was awesome. When you looked out the window all you saw was jungle. It was pretty cool to see. The Doctor then took us to the see some of the houses that are up in that area for the rest of the people here are the pictures for those.

That day we also went shopping in the town square. The town square is like a big shopping place. You can find almost anything that you want there. That is where I got most of my soccer jerseys. Most of them you have seen me wear. One is a little big so I will be putting it is the wash to make it smaller. Hopefully it wan't be to small.
The third day we went to church. That was weird for I didn't understand anything that was being said by anyone. The children there just run around, and none of the adults do anything about it. One kid even tried to steal Jared's water. It was pretty funny to see. After church we went back got some of our stuff and headed for the bus station to catch the bus to Copan. That is where all of the ruines are that I saw. It was a really long trip but we got there. When we got a hotel there the owners asked Jared if he would like at their daughters foot since he is a doctor. We then ate dinner and went to sleep.
Just wait for the next post on the trip.

Coolest thing

The coolest thing happened today. If you read my last post you would have known that my backpack was stolen out of my truck. Well, today I went to school and went to all of my classes, and I was having an okay day. While driving home I noticed that there was something on my front porch. I had to drive by for I had to drop off two very odd kids. When I pulled up I saw that it was my scriptures. I am so happy that they were there. So that is the very cool thing that happened this week so far. By the way I have four more days until I go to Honduras. I leave at 12:35 AM.

By the way if you didn't hear general conference I would totally recommend it. Espicially the Priesthood session. That one was my favorite for there was a lot of cool things that applied to me.

The past week

Hey everybody it has been a long time since I last updated you all so here is goes. it has been a good week for the most part. It started out pretty bad but what ever. on Monday the 31 of March my backpack was stolen from my truck. It made me really made when I found out on Tuesday. The worst part of it was that it had my scriptures in it. Those scriptures were my favorite for it had all the scriptures that were so astonishing to me. The other bad part is that it is costing over three hundred dollars to replace all of the stuff inside of it. You may ask why would it cost so much? Well, I had a graphing calculator in there as well as two text books. I have replaced the scriptures and they were 60 dollars alone. So that was Monday for those that haven't heard yet.

Other news. This afternoon I got my booster shot for the Hept. A and B. I don't know if that is the short way of spelling it but oh well. I also have seven more days before I go to Honduras. That is like a week from now. I am so excited to go and it is so hard to stop talking about it. My friends, I am sure, are saying shutup about it. That is ok for they won't stop talking about tour.

After today I have decided that I doctors get paid a lot. The doctor got $119 for my visit alone today. I don't know if that was just for the visit or if it was for the shot as well. I guess I will find out later if I get billed for it later for IHC is the worst insurence to have. If you don't go to an IHC Hospital then they don't pay for any of the medical bills.

Oh by the way if any of you have any suggestions about the music playlist that I have on this blogspot please leave it on the comment box of this post. I would like to make this playlist bigger.

The Polls about the moon

Well it looks like the United States went to the moon. The poll stands as 6 yeses and 1 no and 1 maybe. It is nice to see that you guys think that we went to the moon. This is a very short post.

The Moon

Did the United States land on the Moon? This was the subject of the discussion that my physics class had. At this time we are studying how to figure out what gravity each planet has and how much energy is needed to escape from it gravitational pull. When the subject finally comes we were talking about how much gravitational pull that earth had on the moon. People started to say that is why the astronauts needed land on the moon. They also bring up the point that the flag is waving when it is being planted. Some of the things that were brought up do help the theory that the United States didn’t land on the moon. One of them is that when the landing vehicle didn’t leave a blasting crater when it launched off the moon. They had pictures of it not having one. Do you see the problem that they have? You can’t have pictures of the vehicle when you not on the moon. Second of all, by the time you got up there again some space dust wave could cover the ground again. Next they say that as you look at the video of the astronauts on the moon that if you speed it up to 2x that it looks like they are running on the earth. I have seen it and it looks like they are running but they have a little bet more air when they push off the good. The Theorist also says that if you speed up the land rover that they had it looks like it is driving in sand. Of course it does, Neal Armstrong said that the ground was like powder. The next thing that they say is that it was all filmed in Area 51. The sand there is orange not gray so how is that possible. Did NASA paint the ground gray to film the whole thing? I can see why they would what to fake it, but do you really think that it is possible? There is a lot of other things that are used to try and prove this whole landing on the moon thing was fake. So if you what to not more about it look it up you self. Here is something for you to think about. Why would the astronauts say that they went to the moon, especially if one of them was an Armstrong?

The Amazing Weekend

Last week was a good one. On Tuesday I was standing in line to buy a ticket to go to the Taylorsville Girls Basketball game. They were going to state. When out of the blue a girl, Emily Johnson, walked up to me and asked me if I had been asked to Sweet Hearts. Of course I had not so I said no. She just walked off, not asking me or anything. So I decided that I was going to be asked in some creative way. That night when I was at young men's, Valerie Johnson asked me to Sweet Hearts. I had to come up with a way to answer her by the next day. So I did I got gold fish, swedish fish, had somebody get her locker combo, and then I put gold fish and swedish fish all over her locker. I had the swedish fish spell out the word yes on the inside of the locker door.

The date was awesome as well. We went ice-skating at the Olympic oval. Here is some advice for those that go ice-skating, wear long socks so the ice-skates don't rub against your skin. I didn't do this and know I have a big scab where the skates rubbed my skin raw. The dinner was pretty good to, but I have decided that chicken cordon bleu is a type of food that girls like for I have had that for every dance I have gone on. For the girls always ask for it. At the dance we waited in line for pictures for about an hour. That was fun to for we got a lot of talking in at that time. People that know Valerie from school would say that she is a very quite girl I have decided that she is not. She hated having silence during the date. There had to be some kind of noise even during the dinner when everyone was eating. I have to say though that she is a very good dancer. It is also nice to dance with someone that knows how to dance. It makes a huge difference in the night. After the dance we went to the other girls house and played games.

I had to do something that I have never had to do before. I gave up my coat for Valerie had forgotten hers in the car. For those that want to see pictures they are coming.

The Coolest Weekend this Month

Last weekend was the coolest. Let my start off with what happened last night. As many of you know I am the president of PLC this year. We were having a staff meeting on what our theme was going to be this year. Earlier that day Mom and Lynsie shared a scripture with me.
2 Nephi 1:21 “Arise from the dust, my sons, and be men” After praying about it and pondering upon it I decided to go with that scripture. I get to my meeting and we get to the subject of what our theme will be. I asked what everyone else chose for the theme. My secretary, Kyle Klein, said that he came up with 2 Nephi 1:20-23. I then asked how many people had come up with that theme as will. Everyone raised their hands. My feelings on this experience are indescribable by the English language. After that I knew that the Lord was directing us for some reason that we know not of. I also know for sure that the Lord guides and directs his servants in the direction he needs them.
Now from the beginning, I have heard from BYU-Id and have been accepted. I don’t know what track I am on yet for they haven’t sent that to me yet. Everyone at home is glade that I got this news for I was driving them crazy with it. So there is the good news about college.
More glad news is that I am getting my braces off in three months. I want them off so badly. It is going to feel great once they are off. Most of you know that already for you had braces when you were younger. For me though I am happy for I am a senior in high school. I will still have them off for the rest of the school year. People that make fun of others for having braces don’t have a clue what they feel like. It is pain when they tighten them up.
On Saturday I got to go to an Army Training Day. It was really fun for I got to miss with 50. caliber machine guns, M203s (grenade launcher for the M-16 A-2), and the SAW. That was really fun as well. They taught me some really cool things like how to take apart some of them. I have also decided not to join the Army for it doesn’t open the right doors that I want opened. I guess that is what I will have to tell Sergeant Johnsons. He is the guy trying to recruit me into the Army. I do have to say that I have a lot of respect for the soldiers in the Army.

The going ons

As you have read on my college update I was denied to BYU. I found out on Monday and I am still waiting to hear from BYU-ID. Other than that there hasn't been much going on. On Saturday I have been invited to go to Camp Williams with the Army. It sounds really fun. This week for school has been really easy for the past two day school hasn't started until 9:30 because of the UBESCT Test. It has been really nice to sleep in. Friday night I am going to Romeo and Juliet and the High School. Hopefully it is fun. I have to go for my english class. For I have to anylize the play. After this week and next I am going to be really sick of writing really stupid essays on really dump things. Other than that there isn't anything going on right now.

College

For the past couple of months I have been waitting, as everyone knows, for my admission to BYU and BYU-Id. Well, it is getting very frustrating because they keep sending me e-mails saying that I should get my answer in the following weeks. At first it was 4 to 6 weeks then to a longer time. Now, if you have seen my college update you would have seen that I won't get my answer for another 8 to 10 weeks from now. I have decided that if they are that far behind going through applications that they are making it so that no one wants to go there. I didn't know if I want to go to a school where they don't really care for my education. Sorry I am getting all of my anger out now so I don't explode on somebody. Other than that I have had no other news about my applications to these two schools.

My New Class for the semester

Now that the semester is over I have received the list of my new class. They pretty much stay the same except a few of them. I have calculus both days for first period and then my second period for A days is Government. My second period for B days is Concert Choir like before. Third period for A days is seminary (awesome,) and for B days is Social Dance again. For my forth periods I have English on A days and physics for B day.

Today was a B day so I had all of my easy classes. Calculus which was easy today and then choir which is always easy. Social dance is going to be hard this semester for we are going to be doing harder dances. In this class there is a girl that either has a good memory or I made a good first impression. She still remimbers me from elementary school. That was just odd. I then had physics which was fun but easy. The fun part was at the last half of the class; the rest of the class I was a sleep because I already knew how to do momentum equations. I don't really look forward to tomorrow.

The end of the Semester

Hey everybody, guess what time of the year it is. It is the end of my semester at Taylorsville High School. I am so excited to get out of some of my classes that I have right know. Like Finical Literacy Class, that was a waist of my time. Most of the things that they taught I had already known from the many class that Glen Weeks did in Priest Quorem.

It is really busy though right know for all of my classes are give huge assignments to us. English is the hardest, for it is the one subject that I have a problem with. All of the others there is a chance of getting with out being there for a while. English is if you miss a day you are a week behind for the rest of the year. The class that I really don't of course in that Fin. Lit. Class that I need to take. My teacher has last a lot of my work so I am basically redoing everything. I am sure that everybody has had a teacher like this. My favorite end of the term activity is in my Social Dance Class. We have to put together a dance and perform. It is really fun because why wouldn't it be fun if you dance with three girls every other day. They are all really good looking.

That is my update for know. Oh yes, college, they have sent my an e-mail that says that I will get my answer in about four five to seven weeks. Some of you would say, "I thought that it was six to eight weeks?" Well it was a week ago.
