Honduras part 1

Well, I have decided to do a blog on Honduras. It will be a trilogy. So it won't be all of it in one blog. I will begin with day one. The longest day of travelling I have ever had. It started off the day before I actually started the flight. I had to go to the airport at 11:30 the night before I left for my flight didn't leave until 12:10 the next day. I will advise everybody that the only reason to take this flight is if you really had to or you can sleep with any noise and through anything. Other words you are going to go insane. It wasn't a very long trip for that to happen to me. My other advise is that if you can don't have a long layover if you have a stop between destinations. For the layover that I had was a 4 hour layover. I now know the entire lay out of the Atlanta Airport. I walked that entire airport for three and a half hours. Well, I finally got to San Pedro Sula after a long flight. When I was walking out of the airplane I felt the humidity and the heat it me. It was like a ton of bricks had just it me. It wasn't more that two minutes before I started to sweat like a pig. They most sweat a lot for I was sweating a lot. The doctor that we were staying with was laughing at how red I was from the heat. That day though I pretty much stayed at the doctors house. We left once to go call my parents to tell them that I got down there OK. The doctor was very nice to me. I think that they are some of the few people that I will miss. They treated me very will even though I didn't know the language. They understood a lot of English though.
The second day was really cool as well. My brother Jared and I went up to the mountains to see the Doctor's house that he is building up there and some of the people that live up there. I will say this, you will never know how it is unless you see it for yourself. Even I didn't understand how bad it was until I got down there. The school that is up there is not the worst school you can have, but it is pretty bad. They only teach about five subjects: auto mechanics, computers, carpentry, cooking, and making pinatas. You only learn some of these trades. Only the smartest gets a schalorship to go to high school in the city.

After we saw the school we went up to the Doctor's house and looked at it. The view was awesome. When you looked out the window all you saw was jungle. It was pretty cool to see. The Doctor then took us to the see some of the houses that are up in that area for the rest of the people here are the pictures for those.

That day we also went shopping in the town square. The town square is like a big shopping place. You can find almost anything that you want there. That is where I got most of my soccer jerseys. Most of them you have seen me wear. One is a little big so I will be putting it is the wash to make it smaller. Hopefully it wan't be to small.
The third day we went to church. That was weird for I didn't understand anything that was being said by anyone. The children there just run around, and none of the adults do anything about it. One kid even tried to steal Jared's water. It was pretty funny to see. After church we went back got some of our stuff and headed for the bus station to catch the bus to Copan. That is where all of the ruines are that I saw. It was a really long trip but we got there. When we got a hotel there the owners asked Jared if he would like at their daughters foot since he is a doctor. We then ate dinner and went to sleep.
Just wait for the next post on the trip.
