update

Hey everybody just a quick update.

Steph and I both only have one semester left after this semester.
Jr loves to play with the teddy bear and to attack the burp cloth.

Here is a video of him and his teddy bear.

Oh and people wanted to know if they could request an engineering topic. You can but that doesn't mean I am going to give you an answer right away or at all. The topic might not even be in my field. I will do my best to get an answer posted though.

Engineering

Do you know what is worse than listening to an accountant talking about accounting? Listening to two accountants talk about it. Do you know what is worse than that? Listening to an engineer talk about the velocities and pressure caused by the spinning of the props on a multi-rotor to cause thrust which when it has enough force over powers gravity to cause lift.

As I get further along in my education I have noticed that a lot of people have a hard time understanding what I do at school. I am sure that most of you have shot off or changed to a different website by now. For the few of you that haven't gone to a different website I am thankful. The reason why I bring this up, is because I would love to help you understand what I talk about when I start talking about engineering. Because engineering really is fun and can be understood if it is presented correctly.

So every once in a while I will be posting something about engineering and I would love for you to give my feed back on what I post. This way I can learn what I can do better to present it better. If you don't understand just say, "speak to me as if I am 8 years old" and if you still don't get it just say, "now as if I am 5 years old."

I will still be posting other random things. Hope you still come and give a look once in a while.

Boy or Girl

Hey everybody. I know that you are all wondering what we are having. Well, it is a .... I can't tell you yet. We have a way of telling you all but we have to wait until steph is able to tell her family when she goes out this coming Friday. So sorry about that but you can put down you guess of what it is.

Facts from last week.

This past week has been really busy and I have learned a lot. Some from classes that I am taking, and others from experiences. I will start off with the biggest thing I learned yesterday.

Don't ever season your Dutch Oven inside an regular oven in the middle of winter. It is just bad for the lungs, and your health all around. So I hadn't seasoned my Dutch Oven until Monday. About 30 minutes into it the whole apartment was filled with smoke. We had to open the windows and doors to get the smoke out. Our apartment went from 68 to about 40 in a very short time. It was cold. With stuff I learned from doing things with a Dutch Oven is how to make cobbler. Don't do what I did. You won't get a cobbler, but a cake instead. It was still really good, but I have learned a few things. One is don't use a quick home made apple pie filling. There just isn't enough moisture. Oh, and don't open the lid on the cobbler before it is don't it could ruin the cobbler. Luckily for me there wasn't enough moisture to make it soupy when I opened the lid.

I also learned this past week that the "Lectures on Faith" at one point were in the Doctrine and Covenants. They were taken out in 1921 because they hadn't been presented to the church as doctrine. It was just a lesson in the School of the Prophets. I thought that was cool.

I have also been learning about thermodynamics. It is really interesting. It is funny that we say that water is incompressible. It is but it only compresses a little bit. In fact so a small amount that it is really hard to tell. That is why we say that it is incompressible.
