Countries in my mission: Serbia. Part 2

Serbia.

Serbia has been part of many countries. It just got out of the Montenegro and Serbia Union in 2006. That country was started in 2003 and before that it was known as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The government at the time is a parliamentary republic.

Weather. The weather is not much different than here in Utah. Serbia is just more humid than Utah. During the summer it is hot and during the winter it doesn't get as cold as here in Utah.

Sports. Serbia has a few big sports there. The main sports or the biggest are soccer, basketball, tennis, and water polo. In soccer they have two teams besides the national Serbian teams the Red Star Belgrade and the FK Partizan. The Red Star Belgrade team is a formal Yugoslavia team. It also won the 1991 Euro Cup and the Intercontential Cup in Tokyo in the same year. Both have their headquarter in Belgrade. In water polo they got the bronze medal in the 2008 summer Olympics and has 6 titles of Euro Champs. In basketball they won the 1991 Euro basketball championship but could not defend it the next year for the UN did not let them participate. In tennis they have two very big tennis players, Jelena Jankovic and Novak Djokovic.

Tourism. Serbia has five national parks. The big cities are also very big tourism places and Serbia has a lot of mountain areas that are very popular like the volcanic wonder Davolja Varos. There are many ancient buildings and they have great festivals. There are also really cool castles in Serbia.
